1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the LumenSmith plugin ("the Plugin") or this documentation website ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Plugin or the Site.

These Terms apply to all users, including but not limited to server owners, server administrators, players, and visitors to the Site.

2. Description of Service

LumenSmith is a free, open-source Minecraft server plugin that allows server owners and administrators to create custom crafting recipes. The Plugin supports shaped, shapeless, furnace, blast furnace, smoker, campfire, smithing, and stonecutting recipe types.

The service includes:

• The LumenSmith plugin (.jar file) distributed via Modrinth and GitHub
• This documentation website and all its pages
• Configuration files and recipe templates generated by the Plugin
• Any future updates, patches, or new versions of the Plugin

3. License & Usage

Grant of License

Subject to these Terms, the author ("NionX") grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the Plugin on any number of Minecraft servers you own or operate
• Use the Plugin for personal, commercial, or non-commercial Minecraft servers
• Create unlimited custom recipes using the Plugin
• Access and reference this documentation website

Restrictions

You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, lease, or sublicense the Plugin as your own work
• Decompile, reverse-engineer, or disassemble the Plugin, except as permitted by applicable law
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notices, branding, or attribution within the Plugin
• Claim authorship or ownership of the Plugin or any part thereof
• Use the Plugin in any manner that violates Minecraft's End User License Agreement (EULA)
• Upload modified versions of the Plugin to any distribution platform without explicit written permission from NionX

4. Intellectual Property

Plugin Ownership

The LumenSmith plugin, including its source code, documentation, branding, logo, and website design, are the intellectual property of NionX. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

User-Generated Content

Any custom recipes, configuration files, or content you create using the Plugin remain your own property. NionX does not claim ownership over user-generated configurations or recipes. You are free to share, distribute, or sell recipe packs you create.

Website Content

All text, images, code examples, icons, and design elements on this Site are protected by copyright. You may reference or link to this Site, but you may not reproduce substantial portions of the Site content without attribution.

5. User Responsibilities

As a user of the Plugin, you agree to:

• Use the Plugin in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not exploit any bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the Plugin for malicious purposes
• Report any bugs, security vulnerabilities, or issues via the GitHub Issues page
• Keep the Plugin updated to the latest stable version when possible
• Not use the Plugin to create recipes that violate Minecraft's EULA or any server network's rules
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data through the Plugin
• Not use the Plugin as part of any scheme to deceive, defraud, or harm other players

6. Server Owner Responsibilities

If you are a server owner or administrator using LumenSmith, you are additionally responsible for:

• Configuration: Properly configuring the Plugin for your server environment, including permissions, recipe settings, and deny messages
• Backups: Maintaining regular backups of your server data, including config.yml and recipe files — NionX is not responsible for data loss
• Player Data: Any player data affected by the Plugin's operation on your server
• Compatibility: Ensuring the Plugin is compatible with your server software (Paper, Spigot, Purpur) and Minecraft version (1.20.x – 1.21.x)
• Permissions: Correctly setting up permission nodes using your preferred permissions plugin (LuckPerms, etc.)
• Conflict Resolution: Testing for and resolving any conflicts between LumenSmith and other plugins on your server
• Compliance: Ensuring your server's use of custom recipes complies with the Minecraft EULA and any applicable server network rules

7. Third-Party Services

The Plugin and Site may interact with or reference third-party services, including but not limited to:

• Modrinth — Plugin distribution platform. Subject to Modrinth's Terms of Service
• GitHub — Source code hosting and issue tracking. Subject to GitHub's Terms of Service
• Minecraft / Mojang Studios — The game platform. Subject to the Minecraft EULA
• bStats — Anonymous plugin metrics (if enabled). Subject to bStats' privacy policy

NionX is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Plugin and the Site are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. NionX specifically disclaims all implied warranties of:

• Merchantability — No guarantee that the Plugin is fit for commercial use
• Fitness for a Particular Purpose — No guarantee the Plugin will meet your specific requirements
• Non-Infringement — No guarantee that the Plugin does not infringe on third-party rights
• Availability — No guarantee of uninterrupted access to the Plugin, updates, or the Site
• Accuracy — No guarantee that documentation is error-free or up to date at all times
• Compatibility — No guarantee of compatibility with all server configurations, plugins, or future Minecraft versions

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NionX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, configurations, or recipe files
• Server downtime, crashes, or performance degradation
• Loss of revenue or players resulting from Plugin use or malfunction
• Damage caused by conflicts between LumenSmith and other plugins
• Any unauthorized access to your server facilitated through security vulnerabilities
• Corruption of world data, player inventories, or other game-related data
• Any damages arising from your failure to maintain proper backups

In no event shall NionX's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Plugin, which is zero ($0.00), as the Plugin is provided free of charge.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NionX from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use or misuse of the Plugin
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including Minecraft's EULA
• Any content or recipes you create using the Plugin

11. Termination

NionX reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Plugin and/or the Site at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms
• Redistribution of the Plugin without permission
• Using the Plugin for malicious or illegal purposes
• Any conduct that NionX deems harmful to other users or the project

Upon termination, your license to use the Plugin is immediately revoked. You must delete all copies of the Plugin in your possession. Sections regarding Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification shall survive termination.

12. Modifications to Terms

NionX reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Plugin or the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Material changes may be announced via the Changelog or the project's GitHub page.

13. Mojang / Microsoft Disclaimer

LumenSmith is an independent, community-made plugin. It is:

• NOT an official Minecraft product
• NOT approved by or associated with Mojang Studios
• NOT approved by or associated with Microsoft Corporation
• NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft

"Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Studios / Microsoft Corporation. All Minecraft-related content, names, and assets referenced on this Site belong to their respective owners. The use of "Minecraft" in this documentation is solely for identification and description purposes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Plugin shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction where NionX resides.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable open-source license included with the Plugin, constitute the entire agreement between you and NionX regarding the use of the Plugin and the Site, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
